Tyler Vermillion is a community outreach professional with a strong background in public health, behavioral health, and social equity. As Regional Community Outreach Manager for a leading national organization in addiction medicine, he manages community relations across Central and Eastern Washington and Western Montana. Originally from Helena, Montana, Tyler relocated to Spokane in 2020 and has since dedicated himself to supporting diverse communities throughout the region. Tyler currently on the Board of Directors for IMPACT, a Washington State Behavioral Health 501(c)(3) Nonprofit, and Shaping Spokane Together - nonprofit focused on equitable access to housing.
His outreach work includes engaging with individuals in recovery, those navigating mental health challenges, people living with chronic illness, families in the child welfare system, unhoused neighbors, BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities, and people impacted by incarceration. Tyler’s approach is rooted in compassion, collaboration, and a deep commitment to equitable healthcare access. Drawing on his own lived experience with mental health, he offers a peer perspective that builds trust and meaningful connection.
Tyler earned his degree in Sociology with a minor in Public Relations from Gonzaga University, focusing on social justice and racial equity. He is currently completing his Master of Public Administration at Rutgers University, where he will graduate in December 2025 with a certificate in Nonprofit Management.
Outside of work and academics, Tyler enjoys exploring the outdoors with his two corgis, Brandon and Tucker—whether hiking in spring and fall, relaxing by the lake in summer, or snowshoeing in winter.
