Case for U.S. Disability and Retirement Insurance Reform
This policy analysis examines Social Security through the lens of federal policy design and long term program sustainability. I analyzed market failures, alternative policy designs, distributional impacts, and the political barriers to reform.
This artifact demonstrates my ability to assess how large scale national policies are shaped by political incentives, administrative structures, long term demographic trends, and equity considerations. It also strengthened my understanding of how policymakers evaluate trade offs between efficiency and fairness. Completing this project reinforced my ability to interpret complex national policies and explain their implications for different groups of beneficiaries.
